Give Yourself The "Gift of Family History"

1. Install your family history software (PAF is a good one -- Personal Ancestral File software). (more help?)
~Download PAF 5.2 at ldscatalog.com
~or download from your Gift of Family History disk
~or email me for help downloading

2. Enter your family names. (more help?)
~Start with your name, your immediate family, any information you can find in your house
~Call your extended family members for any information they have.

3. Print a pedigree and family group sheet. (more help?)
~Place these behind the first tab, Our Family History

4. Print out a few fun information sheets about your family.
~Go to dmarie.com/timecap and print out a time capsule for you or one of your ancestors
~Go to Ancestry.com Fun Family Facts and enter any of your surnames (last name of any ancestor) and choose surname distribution to print out a map of where in the United States people with that last name lived.
~Place these sheets behind the second tab, Connecting With Your Heritage

5. You are done with your Family History book. Now show your friends. If they want one, have them fill out a card or a pedigree form. Give that to your Family History Consultant or email me. You're done!! Good job.
